A six member team comprising Gopikant Bakshi (State Secretary) Sufal Mahto, S.N.Nehru & Om Tiwary of CPI(M), K.D.Singh and Badrinath of CPI visited the Vinayka (Udaypura Harijantola) village in Tarhasi block of Palamau District today, where a house belonging to the dalit community was set ablaze by feudal elements killing two women (Imli Devi & Gahni Kunwar ) and severely injuring a girl. She is currently admitted at RIMS Ranchi, after suffering from burn injuries and her condition is still very ctitical.
Imli Devi (30), who is an Angarwadi Sewika and her mother-in-law, Gahni Kunwar belonging to the dalit community were killed after their house was burnt by feudal goons after some dispute with the husband of Imli Devi
The delegation also met Superintendent of Police, Palamau and severely condemned the incidence of atrocity against dalits. The SP has assured that the matter is being investigated and the main accused Gudda Singh would be arrested as soon as possible.
The left parties have severely condemned the heinous attack on dalits by feudal elements and demanded legal action against all the culprits.
